The Fire Chief Notification Letter, Mail Box Post Sign, and Lawn Sign with Stand will alert emergency personnel that your home is a Pet Fire Alert home and will inform them that there are pets that need to be rescued.

Additionally, while firefighters are attacking the fire and searching for occupants, standard protocol dictates that a trained fire officer will make a 360 degree walk around your home. This officer is the Incident Commander, and he/she is locating where the fire is so in order to radio the details to the interior firefighters. The officer must also locate the electric meter so that the electricity can be turned off A.S.A.P. for firefighter and occupant safety. Since the meter must be located shortly after the arrival of personnel, this would make an ideal location for the placement of the Pet Fire Alert Container.

Pet Information Inserts are provided with the system and are stored in the container near the meter. This is how the firefighters will obtain specific information about the pets inside the home. Additionally, the container includes Two Leashes that come with the system to assist the firefighters in securing the rescued pets. (The container has room to hold additional leashes if you need to add more.)
